Backup and restore your settings

Your settings can be saved to your own Google Drive, so you can restore them after reinstalling the app or on a new phone.

Back up

1. Open Settings and scroll to Backup.
2. Tap Backup and choose your Google account.
3. Allow access to the app's Drive folder when asked.

Restore

1. Install the app and open Settings.
2. Tap Restore and choose the same Google account you backed up with.

Good to know

• The backup is stored in a hidden app folder in your Drive. The app can't see your other Drive files, and the backup doesn't show up in your Drive file list.
• It contains your alarm settings, not your charge history.
• Permissions such as battery optimization can't be backed up; grant them again on a new phone.
• If you don't see the Backup section in Settings, your version of the app doesn't include Drive backup.
• Old versions of the app saved a local backup.bck file. Those files can't be restored in the current version.
